Want to live like a local?

Here are our favourite places to eat...

If you're looking for someplace to celebrate a special occasion or you're looking for al fresco dining at the beach there's something for everyone in Croyde and our local villages.

Check out a few of our favourites for this year and enjoy!

Cafe Croyde Bay is on the pathway to Baggy Point with a laid-back beachside vibe and an amazing sea view! It's great for healthy and not-so-healthy breakfasts, they have great lunch options and serve amazing pizzas throughout the day and into the evening. One of our go-to places to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset go down over Baggy.

Blue Groove is just a stroll down the hill from Salt Cabin and is great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Porthole is on Marine Drive behind the beach between Putsborough and Woolacombe. Enjoy lunch, ice cream, and delicious cakes overlooking one of the best views in the world (in our opinion). You can find their opening hours on Instagram.

New Coast Kitchen is great for fine dining and a special occasion, we recommend booking before you visit Croyde as they are very popular.

Biffen’s Kitchen can be found on Ocean Pitch campsite on Moor Lane, overlooking the beach, serving breakfast and dinner, avoid disappointment as they're very popular and often sell out! Check out their menus and opening times on Instagram.

Cluck Street Food can be found in the cafe on Freshwell campsite on Moor Lane, for breakfast and chicken burgers in the evening. Their opening times are on Instagram

The Beach Cafe Downend offers authentic Sri Lankan curry at the weekend, you can find their menus and opening times on Instagram.

The Thatch Croyde's world-famous pub serves great pub grub, be sure to book as it gets very busy.

The Manor Inn is a lovely pub with outside seating just on the edge of Croyde.

The Rock and The Kings Arms in Georgeham, have great menus for dinner and you need to book as they're very popular.

Further afield

Heartbreak Hotel Cafe in Braunton serves up barista-made coffee all day long. They use organic or local produce to bring you homemade bakes and a good ole cuppa joe.

The Royal George in Appledore is Grade II listed and sits on the water’s edge, with breathtaking views over the Taw & Torridge estuary. Make sure you book and ask for a table overlooking the water.

The Lime Kiln Cafe & Bar in Ilfracombe offers great views of the harbour, including the best view of Verity in town. Relax on their terrace or patio, or enjoy the sea views from inside their stylish café with floor-to-ceiling windows.
